Monday, March 12 - Orientation and Welcome Dinner
The NYC Seminar will begin Monday evening with a short program orientation to review the agenda for the week and to meet your fellow attendees. The orientation will be followed by a welcome dinner with the New York Texas Exes. This will be a great opportunity to ask many of the questions you may have, including:
- How much should you save up for your first few months?
- What is an average entry-level salary in your industry?
- How do you balance the cost of living and entry-level salaries?
- How do you make contacts?
- What is the best way to approach a job search?
- Is it possible to secure a position before heading to New York City?
- These topics and many more will be discussed.
Tuesday & Wednesday, March 13 & 14 - Office Visits
On Tuesday and Wednesday, you will have the opportunity to participate in a total of six to eight office visits and tours in your chosen area of interest.
Please note that a minimum of 8 students per group are required in order for the group to participate in office visits in a specific track. If by the deposit deadline, December 15th, 2011, a group has fewer than eight students, the group may be cancelled at the discretion of the organizers. In the event of a group cancellation, students will be given the option to move to their 2nd choice group, or receive a refund of their deposit.
