
NYC Seminar Grant Information
The New York Texas Exes (NYTE) will provide financial support of up to four grants in the amount of $250 for current University of Texas undergraduate students exploring careers in New York City through participation in the 2013 NYC Seminar.
CRITERIA
NYC Seminar Career Development Grants are merit-based grants intended to assist students currently enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin attend NYC Seminar.
TIMELINE
Application Deadline: Friday, January 18th, 2013 @ 5pm EST. Students are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible.
Applicants will be notified of the status of their application on or before Friday, February 1, 2013.
GRANT AMOUNTS
Up to four grants of $250.00 each are available. Applicants will be awarded no more than one grant. Grant amount has no cash value and will be applied as a reduction in seminar registration fees. Applicants who have already paid in full for seminar and subsequently receive a career development grant will receive a partial refund to reflect the value of the grant.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply for a grant, please submit the following application package:
- Completed application form (see below)
- A personal statement describing your immediate post-graduation career goals and three (3) ways in which you believe your participation in the NYC Seminar will help you achieve these goals. 2-4 pages, double spaced.
- Current resume
- One letter of recommendation from a UT staff or faculty member
Please submit all application materials in PDF or DOC format via email to seminar@newyorktexasexes.org by January 18, 2013 at 5:00 PM EST. Applications will be reviewed by the NYTE Seminar Grants Committee.
